The Prudential Regulation Authority, part of the Bank of England, said on Friday that it will launch its next life insurance stress test exercise in January 2028.
The regulator confirmed it will begin engaging with firms and market participants throughout 2026 as part of the preparatory process. Final details of the exercise — including any updates to its scope or methodology — are expected to be published in the fourth quarter of 2026.
